Chiropractic Physician

Dr. John graduated from Sherman Chiropractic College, right here in Spartanburg, SC,  in June of 2000.  He becameinterested in chiropractic after being injured in a car accident. After the emergency room treatment and seeing a few other “traditional” doctors for  almost five months his neck and back pain  was pretty    much unchanged.  A friend suggested trying his chiropractor, as the saying goes “the rest was history.”     Following the first few treatments he started to feel  some better, within the month almost 70% better, by the end of the second month of treatment his pain was gone and he was back to normal (although his wife hesitates using the word normal for him!) 

Dr. John was born in New Jersey, completed his undergraduate degree in Business Education and was a high school teacher for 3 years.  He was offered an interesting management job, he worked in Logistics and Operations Management for 8 years.  About 5 years into this job is when he was involved in the car accident and started on his chiropractic journey.   Once he decided he was going to become a chiropractor he needed to supplement his undergraduate degree with several science courses – which took almost 4 years to complete as a part-time student . 

After completing chiropractic school he opened Skylyn Wellness Center in October of 2000, the clinic moved to a larger office in June of 2012 and expanded to offer other services as well as chiropractic.  Dr. John is a member of several Chiropractic Associations.   He routinely attends post-graduate programs in various chiropractic techniques, diagnosis, imaging, nutrition and general wellness topics.  He is also a past board member, chairperson and treasurer for The Friends of the Guardian ad Litem, a volunteer program whose mission is to support the activities of the Guardian ad Litems of Spartanburg and Cherokee, South Carolina counties as they help abused and neglected children.   He has also served as a volunteer at the Spartanburg Humane Society.

Dr. John  routinely offers presentations to the public, private companies and civic/social clubs on chiropractic and other health related topics – he’s available to speak to small and large groups, just ask!
